Major UK Retailer Lakeland Boosts Productivity In Its 67 Stores Thanks To New Mobility Solution From Peak-Ryzex
MOBILITY TECHNOLOGY PROVIDER AND INTEGRATOR PEAK-RYZEX HAS DELIVERED A COMPREHENSIVE, COST-EFFECTIVE AND PRODUCTIVITY-BOOSTING NEW SOLUTION INTO MULTIPLE LAKELAND OUTLETS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ZEBRA TECHNOLOGIES
CHIPPENHAM, WILTSHIRE – UK (12th November 2019) – Peak-Ryzex, a globally-recognised leader in mobility solution integration, is proud to announce its key involvement in a recent project rollout with major UK high street retailer, Lakeland. The full solution has been delivered into 67 of the company’s outlets across the United Kingdom and includes hardware and software innovations from Peak-Ryzex partners such as Zebra Technologies and SOTI
Lakeland – a specialist retailer that provides home cooking, baking, cleaning and laundry products – was looking to leverage its own in-house applications for order management, global ticketing, shelf-edge pricing, product labelling and staff training against an Android-ready solution specially designed for the modern retail sector. Peak-Ryzex presented a comprehensive and cost-effective alternative that replaced its legacy Android tablets with a range of rugged devices supported by an ongoing support wrap.
“Our move to the smaller format TC51 device has been warmly welcomed by our store colleagues. The new devices are lighter and more practical, whilst providing upgraded features which will future-proof our retail stores for years to come,” said Emma Kay, IT & Development Manager at Lakeland. “Peak-Ryzex not only proposed a competitive offering but was also great to work with during the project. Lakeland expect mobile computing to play a growing role in our stores of the future, and we look forward to working closely with Peak-Ryzex to support this.”
The introduction of TC51 Touch Computers into Lakeland’s 67 UK-based outlets has enabled the retailer to maximise business performance while ensuring each device operates with optimum efficiency, with two to three Android devices currently deployed in each store alongside a five-slot charging cradle. Staff can now perform business-critical tasks such as inventory checks, product look-ups, price mark downs and more via a versatile, streamlined and future-proofed platform.
Peak-Ryzex is also providing an ongoing support package for Lakeland, utilising SOTI to integrate the retailer’s bespoke in-house applications onto its new fleet of rugged devices. Now staff can access software for price checks, stock history reports, training videos and much more with full confidence in their reliability and optimisation. Additionally, Peak-Ryzex also manages Zebra’s LifeGuard and Mobility DNA services for the rapid delivery and maintenance of security and OS updates.
“Lakeland delivers an exceptional service to its customers, and we’re delighted to be able to support this British retailer with a solution that will future-proof its operations for years to come,” said Anthony McLarkey, Account Director at Peak-Ryzex. “Working alongside our partners at Zebra and SOTI, we’ve been able to keep Lakeland ahead of the technology curve with a mobility refresh that’s both versatile and unique to the demands of a contemporary high street retailer.”
