dnata is one of the world’s largest suppliers of combined air services – including aircraft ground handling, cargo, travel and flight catering. They operate in 37 countries worldwide, and employ more than 20,000 staff.
dnata handles more than 350,000 tonnes of cargo each year across 450,000 sq. ft. of airport cargo terminals worldwide. To cope with this demand and further growth, they needed to revolutionise their cargo handling process, which ran on a paper-based system traditionally used in the air freight industry.
Peak-Ryzex provided dnata with a complete mobile computing solution for a major new air cargo centre at London Heathrow – which included mobile devices, wireless networks, MDM software, consultancy and support. Next Working Day Exchange allowed operations to send broken equipment back to Peak-Ryzex and for a fully-configured replacement the next day.
The solution set a new benchmark in high performance, providing a much faster service with cutting-edge technology. User involvement with device repair/replacement was also removed. The success of the project meant the establishment of a long-term relationship that brings Peak-Ryzex into existing and future projects.
