Bensons for Beds
Bensons for Beds is Britain’s favourite bed specialist with over 50 years’ heritage. A merger between the existing Bensons for Beds, Sleepmasters and Bed Shed brands, Bensons for Beds now has over 270 stores nationwide and deliver approximately 3,500 beds every week.
Bensons for Beds needed a comprehensive ePOD (Electronic Proof of Delivery) solution with both signature capture and a camera function, to prove that beds were assembled on site, that delivery had been attempted or of any obstructions preventing delivery/assembly. They also needed a solution that would enable phone communication, delivery scheduling & tracking and the ability to track driver behaviour.
Bensons for Beds chose Peak-Ryzex to upgrade their mobile ePOD system with rugged Motorola devices - and to support the solution with a Next Working Day Exchange (NWDE) service and battery maintenance contract, when swapouts and repairs were required. Device choice was based on meeting Bensons requirements and solving their challenges, as were the support options.
The Peak-Ryzex solution ensured maximum device uptime - the NWDE service provided drivers with a fully configured, ready-to-use device by the next-working day while the original device was repaired. Battery maintenance also ensured batteries continued to stay healthy and last for at least the length of a full-shift. The device capabilities eliminated customer claims of non-delivery or non-assembly and substantially reduced Bensons paperwork.
