DHL Express
DHL Express is a division of the German logistics company Deutsche Post DHL that provide international express mail services. They are a world leader in sea and air mail and have around 275,000 employees.
We managed to deploy 1,400 scanners in 2 weeks which, with our old way of working, would have probably taken us about 3 months. We’ve found Peak-Ryzex very easy to work with, the service they give us is very professional and timely – when we ask for something we get an answer back very quickly.
Problem
DHL Express have timed delivery KPIs that they have to reach. In the past, when they had a broken device the courier couldn’t carry out their job and they had a very slow, manual process in place to get this device repaired or replaced. They also faced issues over incorrect data being transferred from paper sources back into their systems.
Solution
Peak-Ryzex continue to provide DHL Express with Motorola devices which feed back live data to their customers as part of their EPOD system. Peak-Ryzex also provide them with devices for their warehouse environment – to scan inbound and outbound shipments as they go through. In both instances, these devices are pre-built and fully packaged with accessories, and they have an NWDE service in place.
Results
When DHL Express switched to Motorola devices, Peak-Ryzex successfully deployed 1400 scanners to all of their service centres in just two weeks. Under their old system this would have taken them 3 months.
